Tonight, i went to the Jean’s house to celebrate our CNY. We had steamboat there and it’s nice to celebrate CNY with them. Feel like i am in Malaysia because they are mostly malaysian ^^ We had played card games too. Whoever lose the game would be punished. Damn…i lost and i need to write the word “love” with my ass @@ embarassing :p we also played a game called “mufia” .The game nt bad and i always have chance to be the mufia in that game ,lol^^
on 8th, i was attending my first class here. It is the intro to business class. The lecturer is nice and the class is warm enough. We were asked to introduce ourselves because there are less people in that class. i was quite nervous since there are only me from malaysia and the other asian girl from china. However, i have done my indroducing quite ok ^^ The lecturer spoke quite fast in the class as she is canadian. Therefore, i need to be more concentrated in order to catch her.
on 9th, we were going to the provincial government chamber (confederation building) at 10.30 am morning. In the afternoon, we had a pizza party for international students and our buddies in dining room. It’s free !! I took two pieces of pizzas. The size of one piece is quite large and it tastes great. Take two can make you very full.
On 10th, we were going to the ROOMS. It’s the muzuem here. I saw the snow crab, cod fish the red fox inside there. Actually there are many things there like devices for hunting, mining, fishing, sailing and so on. However, these were the three animals that i could remember.:P
This is the day we need to leave Mike’s house and move into our new department called Burdon’s Pond. Today is chin yee’s birthday too. We have bought a cake for her yesterday and ate that cake as our breakfast, haha.
My room here in Burdon’s Pond is so clean and there are many shelves in my room. I could not fill all the shelves with my things because the shelves space really too much for me. There is a heater inside my room, so I no need to worry for the coldness already, xixi.
Tonight, Sze ern and I went over to chin yee’s department and took our dinner there together. After that, we played cards together and we invited chin yee’s housemate joined together too. She did not know how to play Big Two and Sze ern taught her. Finally, she can play quite well and won us too. During the time we play, suddenly, there was someone knocking the door. So I was the one who went to open the door. However….I opened the wrong door, haha. I thought the door is in front one because I heard the knocking sound was from there and my friends all laughed at me, so embarrassing 
The doors are all same color and I couldn’t recognize which one is which. Their entrance door is on the left or right when you go out from the living room. The person came was asking us to join a party. However, he didn’t tell where the place was. Therefore, we went down to find the room and it’s damn cold along the hallways. We knocked on their door but there was no response from them, so we quickly ran back to our department. Our attempting to join the party have failed, haha.
Today is the last day we stay in Mike’s house. At night, Mike’s neighbor invited us to go over his house and visit them. Their house is so nice and so clean, with well and perfect decoration. They served us with tea, some snacks and Christmas’s cake. The ginger biscuit and the Christmas’s cake were made by themselves. We were chit-chatting and laughing together. So, I have spent a great time with them that night. ^^
Sze ern and i were not sleeping for whole night after we reached Mike’s house. On 28th morning, we went out and took a walk along the dublin street and we took some pictures in front of houses. The houses look so nice and so special, i couldn’t wait any longer to take the pictures of the houses. And then, we went to Avalon shopping mall, bought some ingredients to cook. I found that there are not much choices for us to choose and the things here are quite expensive, therefore, we need to make wise decisions before we buy anything here. We cooked the first meal for ourselves and Mike. Mike showed us the garlic powder. It’s weird for me to see people here uses the garlic powder to make dishes because i never use it before. Besides, people here prefer the brown rice and it’s more expensive than the white rice. Moreover, they use the electrical stove rather than the fire stove.
We spent most of our time eat and sleep in Mike’s house. I have hot chocalate, biscuit and bread for my breakfast everyday. It gets dark quite early during winter time. Around 4pm like that, the day starts to get dark and i feel that i need to get to bed. However, i think i need to control myself to sleep so early and i need to get use to the weather here.
Mike took us up to signal hill. It’s damn cold up there due to the strong wind. We were just sightseeing around there and quickly run back to our car. On 2th jan, we went up signal hill again with our new friends from malaysia. This time, we walked to go up to the hill. After that, we went to Sushi restaurant to have our dinner. I had a yaki chicken udon and it’s quite nice.
In the night of 31th dec, we went to Quidi vidi lake there to count down for new year. We standed in the snow for half an hour just to see the fireworks. The fireworks were so nice and this is the nicest fireworks i have never seen. After the fireworks, we need to call taxi to fetch us to go back. However, we waited there for one hour and the taxi still not came yet. we were freezing and there’s no other people around here other than us. Luckily, Mike called us and came to fetch us back to house, he is so nice !The moment i stepped into the house, i went into my bedroom straight away and covered myself with few blankets. My hands were shaking and i had flu. Although i got cold, i could see the nice and cool fireworks, so it’s worth. ^^
After having breakfast with my family at MCD, my journey to st john’s, canada starts. This is the first time i travel overseas without companion of my parent and first time travel by plane. Two friends of mine, chin yee and sze ern were going with me. we got on flight at KLIA at 9.15 am and got off the flight in hong kong at around 12.55pm. I found that there are meals and drinks provided during the flight. And also, we could watch some movies or play some games during the flight. From hong kong to toronto, the flight was terribly long. It took around 14 hours (4.20pm-6.05pm)and we ate and slept in the plane most of the time. After that, we took again 2 hours (10.55pm-3.20am)to get to st john’s and it’s 3.20 am in st.john’s. Besides, the temperature outside the airport was -10 celcius. We met Professor Burns and he took us to his house. When the time i stepped out of the airport, i could feel the coldness there and it’s really cold. The snow was coming down. I was so excited to see it. It’s long journey to get to st john’s, however it’s worth for me because i could see the snow in real. ^^
